Why Brands Choose Spotem

Brand Manufacturing
Is About Trust First

An apparel brand’s most valuable asset isn’t its inventory — it’s its design IP, its brand identity, and its customer trust in product consistency. Choosing a manufacturer means handing those assets to a third party, often overseas. That’s why brand manufacturing decisions are usually slow, careful, and reference-driven.

We’ve structured our brand manufacturing service around that reality. NDAs signed before any design is shared. Design ownership stays with your brand. Tag, label, and packaging work as if it’s your in-house production. What we make is your product — not Spotem product with your name on it.

This page is for two types of buyers: established brands looking for an additional or replacement manufacturing partner and emerging brands sourcing their first manufacturing relationship. Different stages, same expectations — brand-grade execution, IP protection, and the kind of relationship that can scale from 25-piece pilots to 50,000-piece annual contracts.

Two Brand Manufacturing Tracks

Private Label
or OEM?

Two distinct manufacturing relationships, depending on whether you bring complete designs or need design collaboration. Most brand partnerships combine both as the relationship grows — private label for existing SKUs and OEM for new product development.

Total Design Control

Private Label Manufacturing

You provide finished tech packs, fabric specs, color codes, and construction details. We manufacture to your exact specifications, with no design input from us. We produce your existing product line at our Sialkot facility, built to match your specs exactly.

What You Bring

Best For

Established brands with finalized designs, brands transitioning between manufacturers, and brands needing factory-direct costs for existing product lines they already sell.

Design Collaboration

OEM Manufacturing

You provide a creative brief, mood board, or rough concept. We collaborate on pattern-making, fabric sourcing, and construction details. Final designs become your brand's IP — we don't reuse them with other clients.

How OEM Works

Best For

New brands without in-house design teams, established brands launching new product categories, and brands testing new sports or markets without committing to full in-house development.

What Brand Buyers Deal With

Six Challenges
Apparel Brand Buyers
Face Every Manufacturing Relationship

The recurring concerns brand buyers raise about every manufacturer relationship before signing the first PO. Each one shapes how we’ve structured brand partnerships.

Challenge 01

Design IP Protection

Sharing your designs with an overseas manufacturer means trusting them not to replicate them for your competitors. Most manufacturers either won’t sign NDAs or sign weak ones that don’t actually protect against design leakage.

How Spotem Solves It

Mutual NDAs signed before any design is shared. Standard form provided, or we sign your brand’s preferred template.

Challenge 02

Tag & Label Consistency

Your customer expects woven neck labels in your brand colors, hangtags with your branding, and care labels matching your other product lines. Most manufacturers offer generic options — not the brand-grade label control your customers expect.

How Spotem Solves It

Custom woven labels, hangtags, care labels, and packaging produced to your spec. Local label sourcing in Sialkot or your shipped labels used.

Challenge 03

MOQ Scalability

Many factory minimums lock brands into 500-piece or 1,000-piece commitments before they can test market response. Lock-in too early and you’re sitting on unsold inventory; defer testing and you can’t launch.

How Spotem Solves It

25-piece MOQ for brand orders with custom labels. Test market response with a pilot run, and scale to 500, 5,000, or 50,000 pieces once validated.

Challenge 04

Sample-to-Bulk Consistency

The pre-production sample looks perfect. The bulk run arrives with slightly different fabric weight, less crisp printing, or sloppier stitching. The brand has to either accept inconsistent quality or eat the cost of rejection.

How Spotem Solves It

Bulk runs produced on the same machines, fabrics, and processes as your approved pre-production sample. What you approve is what we ship.

Challenge 05

Design Ownership Disputes

Some manufacturers retain rights to designs they help develop — meaning they can sell your design to other clients. This is rarely discussed upfront and almost never noticed until it becomes a problem.

How Spotem Solves It

Design ownership contractually transferred to your brand at sample approval. We don’t replicate, reuse, or sell your designs to any other client.

Challenge 06

Communication Gaps Across Time Zones

Sialkot is 9–10 hours ahead of most USA time zones. A question sent at 3 PM EST hits Sialkot at midnight. Most overseas manufacturers don’t respond until the next USA business day — delaying every iteration by 24 hours.

How Spotem Solves It

USA-timezone account management with overlap into Sialkot production hours. Same-day responses during USA business days via WhatsApp and email.

IP Protection Workflow

Five Stages of
NDA-Protected Production

Every brand engagement follows the same IP-protective workflow from first conversation through bulk delivery. Designed so your brand assets stay yours.

1

NDA Signed First

Mutual NDA signed before any design, tech pack, or fabric spec is shared. Standard form or your preferred template.

2

Design Brief Review

Your designs are reviewed under NDA. Tech pack questions, fabric clarifications, and feasibility feedback returned within 48 hours.

3

Sample Approval

Pre-production sample made to your spec. Inspection at our facility plus an optional sample shipped to you for in-hand approval before bulk.

4

Bulk Production

Bulk run on the same machines, fabrics, and processes as the approved sample. Multi-stage QC. Design files stay confidential throughout.

5

Delivery & Archive

Branded packaging shipped to your warehouse. Design files are archived securely for future reorders — never shared, never replicated.

Brand Identity Customization

Tags, Labels &
Packaging Built to Your Brand

Three areas of brand identity that most manufacturers treat as afterthoughts. We treat them as core deliverables — because your customer notices.

Custom Labels & Tags

Brand-grade labels produced to your spec, applied during garment construction.

Branded Packaging

Retail-ready and direct-to-warehouse packaging options.

Documentation & Compliance

The paperwork your accounting, warehouse, and customers need.

Volume Scalability

From Pilot Run
to Bulk Inventory

Four MOQ tiers covering every brand stage — from testing a new product line to building a year’s worth of inventory. Pricing improves progressively at every tier.

New product line validation, sample drops, limited edition releases, regional pilots before national rollout

About These Tiers

Per-unit pricing improves with each tier as production setup costs amortize over larger runs. Multi-SKU brand orders can combine volume across SKUs to reach higher tiers — e.g., ordering 100 pieces each of 5 SKUs totals 500 pieces, qualifying every SKU individually for Scale tier pricing.

What Brands Get From Spotem

Built For
Brand Manufacturing

Six capabilities are built specifically around how apparel brands need to operate — design IP protection, brand identity preservation, and scalable volume.

NDA-Protected by Default

A mutual NDA is signed before any design, tech pack, or specification is shared with our team. The standard NDA form available or we can sign your preferred template.

Design Ownership Stays With Brand

Even in OEM relationships where we contribute to pattern-making and fabric sourcing, all resulting designs are owned by your brand. We don’t replicate or sell your designs to other clients.

Scalable MOQ — 25 to 50,000+ Pieces

Test new products with 25-piece pilot runs, scale to 50,000+ pieces for annual inventory. Pricing improves progressively at every volume tier. Multi-SKU brand orders combine volume for tier qualification.

Custom woven neck labels, hangtags, care labels, branded poly bags, and retail-ready boxes — produced to your exact spec. Local sourcing in Sialkot or your shipped labels applied.

Sample-to-Bulk Quality Guarantee

Pre-production samples produced on the same machines, fabrics, and processes as your bulk order. What you approve is what we ship — no quality drift between sample and production.

Questions From Brand Buyers

Answers For
USA Apparel Brands

The five questions we hear most from brand buyers before signing the first PO. For anything else, our team replies within 24 hours under NDA on request.

What’s the difference between OEM and private label sportswear manufacturing?

Private label means we manufacture garments based on your existing designs — your tech packs, your fabric specs, and your construction details. OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) goes one step deeper: we collaborate on design, pattern-making, and fabric sourcing for new products you don’t have specs for yet. Most brand partnerships start with private label for existing SKUs and expand into OEM as new product lines are developed.

Does Spotem sign NDAs before brand designs are shared?

Yes. Mutual NDAs are signed before any brand design, tech pack, or product specification is shared with our team. The NDA covers your designs, your sourcing decisions, your branding strategy, and any other confidential information exchanged during the partnership. Standard form provided on request, or we can sign your brand’s preferred NDA template.

Who owns the design and intellectual property in an OEM relationship with Spotem?

Your brand retains full ownership of all designs, patterns, branding, and product IP. Even when we contribute to pattern-making or fabric sourcing during the OEM process, the resulting designs are owned by your brand and may not be replicated by us for any other client. This is contractually established in the manufacturing agreement signed before production begins.

What’s the minimum order quantity for OEM and private label sportswear?

For brand manufacturing with custom woven labels and branded packaging, our minimum is 25 pieces per design — slightly higher than standard wholesale to absorb label setup costs. As order volumes grow, per-unit pricing drops progressively, with the most favorable pricing available at 500, 1,000, and 5,000+ piece runs. Multi-SKU orders can be combined to meet volume thresholds.

Can Spotem produce sportswear with my brand’s labels, hangtags, and packaging?

Yes. Custom woven neck labels, hangtags, care labels, and polyester or box packaging are all available. You can supply finished label artwork, and we’ll source production locally in Sialkot, or you can ship pre-made labels to our facility for application. Branded poly bags, retail-ready packaging, and barcoded labels for direct-to-warehouse fulfillment are all supported.
